With regard to this last aspect, Mercabarna, represented by managing director Montserrat Gil de Bernabé and industrial and services manager Lluís Alberich, presented its advanced telecommunications system to the conference participants.

Agustí Argelich, advisor to the Food Unit in this area, explained the features of this network that enables companies based in the precinct to benefit from a leading telecommunications system at very competitive prices.

Mr Argelich spoke about the IP telephony system (voice, data and video transmission by means of a single line), the fibre optic network implemented throughout the precinct and the 110 Wi-Fi antennae that provide Internet access from any point in Mercabarna.
