Barcelona Mayor Xavier Trias visited Mercabarna on 7 May at the invitation of representatives of the ASSOCOME board. Accompanied by Barcelona Deputy Mayor and Chair of Mercabarna Sònia Recasens and Mercabarna Managing Director Josep Tejedo, the mayor and business representatives exchanged views on the future of the Food Unit. During his visit to Mercabarna, Mayor Trias also visited one of the potato cleaning and handling firms on the estate.
