This was the case of the technicians from Argentina’s Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food, who visited the Food Unit on 22 April, since they plan to build a new wholesale market in their country.

Furthermore, on 2 May, Mercabarna welcomed the management team of a Chinese company (Shenzen Agricultural Product). This delegation showed interest in the running of the Food Unit as it manages 13 wholesale markets.

Similarly, the managing director of the wholesale market of Okayama, Japan, accompanied by two fruit and vegetable company owners, visited Mercabarna on 14 May. Their Market is in the midst of a major remodelling project.
