Good Commercial Practices Code: Taskforces Making Steady Progress
The different institutions and organisations with a major role in the agrofood chain that form the Good Commercial Practices Code, including Mercabarna and the Fruit and Vegetable Wholesale Dealers Association (AGEM), continue to work to define specific initiatives that will make it possible to improve sector operations and relations among the different agents in the chain.
Two specific projects are currently being promoted. One, which will see the light in coming months, is based on implementing promotional campaigns that will involve all the agents in the chain publicising the characteristics, properties and different ways of eating particular local and seasonal products.
The other project being studied involves establishing two types of commercial documents, i.e., either the creation of a contractual frame of reference or a letter of intent, to expedite and guarantee commercial transactions among the different actors involved in food commercialisation.
