Three fruit and vegetable firms located in the Complementary Activities Zone (ZAC) have in recent months renewed their contracts to remain at Mercabarna. The companies, which cover a total of 7,250 m2, are Súper Verd, Frutas Tony and Jab Fruits. These are the first renewals agreed on after Mercabarna and the Assocome business association signed an addendum last 11 October to the 2009 framework agreement for the renewal of rental contracts for ZAC businesses due to end in 2017. The addendum was designed to adapt the renewal conditions to the present financial circumstances and make it easier for companies to be able to ensure their continuity on the estate and to take on new investments.
