Accompanied by Mercabarna management, Mr Ameijide toured the Central Fruit and Vegetable Market, Central Fish Market, Mercabarna-flor and the Green Point on his first visit to the food estate. Other guests from Mercasa included the advisor to the chair and vice-chair of Mercabarna, Miguel Ramírez; the director of Sales Structures, Pablo González; the head of Food Units, Silvia Llerena, and the Sales Structures officer and Mercabarna board member, María Vázquez.
Mercasa is the company that promotes the Spanish network of wholesale markets and which, along with city councils, manages the 23 food units that market wholesale fresh produce.
