The Mercabarna Slaughterhouse welcomed a delegation from the firm Industrias Cárnicas FAMJOM, which runs the slaughterhouse in Zamora, on 25 January. The purpose of the visit was to learn more about the features and operation of the Slaughterhouse’s sheep line which opened in July 2008, as Zamora is considering renovating its own sheep slaughtering facilities.

The Slaughterhouse’s sheep line is distinguished by the high technology that has made it possible to adapt slaughter volumes to demand requirements at any given time, increase hygiene and safety conditions, improve the quality of the channel finishes and considerably reduce the physical effort required by line operators.
