The new Government of Catalonia approved the appointments of the heads of the directorate-generals within the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, Food and the Environment on 18 January.

The head of the Agriculture and Livestock area will be Miquel Molins, while Domènec Vila will take over at Food, Quality and Agrofood Industries.

Mercè Santmartí will become the director-general of Fish and Maritime Affairs and Jordi Sala will be in charge of Rural Development. In the trade area, Josep Maria Recasens is the new director-general of Trade within the Ministry of Enterprise and Labour.
