Mercabarna-flor Reaches Out to Pastry Chefs
To give them ideas, teachers from the floral art school Rosa Valls-formació, headed by Rosa Valls herself, made numerous creations to enhance their cakes’ visual appeal with flowers, plants and accessories.
The pastry chefs learned how to decorate cakes for special celebrations, such as weddings, christenings and birthdays, and how to fashion Christmas decorations both for their shops and as gifts.
After lunch, Rosa Valls gave a demonstration of small floral compositions using Market products to decorate desserts, chocolate boxes, traditional Christmas nougat, bottles, etc. Finally, the group took part in a practical workshop.
