In April, Mercabarna received visits by the executives of three international wholesale markets. First to get to know the Food Unit were the Managing Director and Financier of the company that manages Minas Gerais Central Market and the wholesale markets in this Brazilian state, who wanted to see how Mercabarna operates in situ. The Technical and Operational Director of the body that manages CEAGESP, the São Paulo General Warehousing and Centers Company, and the 13 wholesale markets from this province also visited the precinct with the aim of finding out more about the Food Unit’s management model. Finally, the Chair of Bologna, Italy’s Market Association of Fruit and Vegetable Wholesalers was given a tour of Mercabarna. He showed great interest in the logistical operation and management of the Central Markets.
