"Working in Mercabarna has been a great experience, although at first it was very hard," he recalls. "When I opened the business in 1972, I worked in the early mornings like the Fruit Market and I remember that in the first week, not one soul came through the door!" Over time, and thanks to a "highly-loyal clientele", business went from strength to strength until it became one of the services most highly valued by market customers. From now on, this establishment will be run by a new manager, the chemist Sergio San Segundo.
