For this reason, the members of the Training Area and the Head of Studies and Development at Mercabarna were present at the Day of the Entrepreneur events. These meetings are organised by Barcelona Activa and seek to function as a forum where ideas, opportunities and aid can be exchanged to help all those who wish to start up a business.

Likewise, the Area also participated in the SOC Dialogues (Catalan Job Service), a day event that, under the heading of “Employment and training policies to deal with the crisis”, served to reflect on initiatives to encourage employment and training in companies. During this event the new web portal of the Government of Catalonia www.gencat.cat/especial/einescontralacrisi/cat was also presented, which offers tools to companies and individuals to help cope with the economic downturn.
