The visit was part of a cooperation programme that sees the Catalan and Moroccan governments jointly develop projects in areas such as agriculture, food safety, research and rural action. During their stay in Catalonia, the members of the Moroccan delegation visited several livestock farms and a health control laboratory. They also showed interest in visiting the Mercabarna Slaughterhouse to see its infrastructures –particularly the beef line– and learn how sanitary hygiene controls are established.
