All these markets form part of the Central European Initiative Wholesale Markets Foundation (CEI WMF), an organisation that fosters the development of wholesale markets in Central and Eastern Europe by exchanging knowledge and experience with other European markets.

Infrastructures and Management
After visiting the Central Fish Market and Central Fruit and Vegetable Market, the delegation met with Mercabarna management. The chairs and directors showed particular interest in learning about different aspects of financial management and the services and the facilities comprising a Food Unit, since most of these Central European markets are in the process of developing their infrastructures.
