Josep and Salvador Capdevila, lauded by the Gastronomy Academy
Josep Capdevila, manager of Cadaico, the Mercabarna business that specialises in poultry and game, and his brother Salvador Capdevila, in charge of the firm’s stall at Barcelona’s emblematic Boquería Market, have been lauded by the Catalan Gastronomy Academy in the “Professionals of the Year” category. This distinction recognises the excellent job these business owners have done to improve and innovate in the food industry, as well as their ongoing commitment to offer the finest quality products to consumers. The Capdevila brothers received the award on 25 March at a dinner that brought together professionals from the Catalan hospitality, gastronomy and culture sectors. The Catalan Gastronomy Academy awards these yearly prizes to chefs, restaurants and food sector professionals, groups or institutions that stand out for their contribution to Catalan gastronomy.
