The lobby refurbishment works in Mercabarna’s Management Centre are about to conclude. This project has updated and modernised the image and infrastructure of this space, which was designed – like the rest of the building – 40 years ago. Improvements include the expansion of both the Information Point and the Security and Surveillance Control Centre, improved lighting, new access doors to the building, and so on. Furthermore, an area has been set up for receiving and attending the thousands of people who visit Mercabarna throughout the year. Here, next to the Food Unit model, a television has been set up which enables visitors to watch Mercabarna’s institutional video. The lighting of the mural painted by Francesc Subarroca has also been enhanced.
