The Security and Surveillance Department at Mercabarna has been restructured in order to improve the efficiency and services provided to market users.

From now on, this security force will be divided into four general areas of activity: mobility, security devices (tolls, closed-circuit television, fire prevention, etc.), Security and Markets, and the control centre.

These changes, instigated by the head of Security and Surveillance, Jordi Monaco, mean greater specialisation within the service, in order to better meet the current needs of the Food Unit.
