Once again this year, Mercabarna collaborated with the event, organised by the Barcelona Association of Chefs and Confectioners, the Catalan Cuisine Foundation-Institute and the “Live the Mediterranean” Foundation.

The winners of the main awards this year were Fermí Puig, who took home the prize for Master Chef of Catalonia; Jordi Pujol, the Master Wine Steward of Catalonia; and chef Carles Gaig, who was distinguished with the medal for Gastronomic Merit.
This year, and for the first time, the profits obtained from the event were donated to the Food Bank Foundation.
