The event focused on fruit and vegetable marketing and distribution with a round-table discussion featuring the participation of representatives of A. Martin Solà, the producer and wholesale company based in the Central Fruit and Vegetable Market, and Condis and Punt Fresc, two distribution chains in the precinct.

The 50 horticulture specialists from the different Spanish regional governments who attended the day session also visited the facilities of the Central Fruit and Vegetable Market.

Organised by the Spanish Ministry of the Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs, the Catalan Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Action and the Institute for Agro-Food Research and Technology (IRTA), this seminar – held in a different autonomous region each year – enables professionals to swap experiences on fruit and vegetable farming and production.
